IRLS 675 Week 1--My Digital Collection

I am planning to create a digital collection of resources on avoiding plagiarism. Part of my current job is teaching plagiarism awareness workshops for students who get in trouble for cheating and plagiarizing. I often wish that the resources that I use in my lectures could be aggregated on a website that would be more accessible to students. The collection could include resources on avoiding plagiarism that are created by university writing departments, news stories about plagiarism, examples of plagiarism, podcasts and lectures about plagiarism (both from faculty members and companies like Turnitin.com), and policies about academic integrity. The collection will have text files, images, audio files, and videos.

One of the main groups I would like to utilize my collection is students who have taken my class. I would like to provide students with additional resources to avoid plagiarism after they complete my course. I anticipate that this collection would also hold some interest for other educators (both English teachers, learning support staff, and librarians) who focus on writing education. The final group who might be interested in the materials is students who are looking for writing resources online.

Some of the terms to provide access to the collection might be: plagiarism, academic integrity, writing, prewriting, paraphrasing, citing, citation, guide, English, and lecture. I have 12 items so far, I am still looking for a few more to round out the collection.
